SUMMER '60s SPECTACULAR (July 17, 2010)
Lovers of 1960s music should make a note in their diaries for Saturday 17th July, as Route 36 is pleased to announce its SUMMER ‘SIXTIES SPECTACULAR. Following hot on the heels of our Open Mic Night in June, this is the first themed event that we will be running in our new venue, South Newton & Wishford Village Hall. Featuring live music from top ‘60s tribute band LEGACY, the evening promises a feast of nostalgia for those who were there to remember the time, and an eye-opener for those too young to have experienced it first time ’round!
Route 36 Directors Bob & Zena Spry are looking forward to a great evening: “ We’ve been planning a number of events to involve our local community, and the ‘sixties theme is one with almost universal appeal. We know that Legacy’s authentic sound will have the place jumping, and on a balmy summer’s evening with a well-stocked bar and good company, who could want for anything more? “
